Happy New Year

It seem like 2009 just flew by. Here we are 10 years after Y2K and all is well. I thought I would send this little card to say Happy New Year to you all. These cute little bears are toasting each other. Anyone got any plans for the night? We will stay home and try to stay awake to usher in 2010. It is bitter cold here so there is no desire to go out and we have so much snow it is hard to even get around. Remember I said we were supposed to have a Christmas blizzard? Well, we sure did. We were very lucky to make it to our daughter's house and back home again on Christmas Eve. Even most Church services were canceled. Now we have huge piles of snow everywhere. I am thinking it may be June before this is all gone. Ok, maybe April.

Enough rambling - Happy New Year and may 2010 be the best year ever!

Until next time Happy trails to you...

Merry Christmas 2009

In this busy time, I wanted to take a minute and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. We are supposed to get another huge storm beginning tonight with ice and more ice tomorrow and then up to 12 inches of snow depending on which television station you listen to.

My heart is full of gratitude to those who look at this simple little blog and take the time to comment. God bless you all and if you are traveling, safe travels.

Merry Christmas and happy trails to you!

Hello from snowy Nebraska! Last time I posted I said we were going to get a snow storm. Well, we did indeed. We got between 10 and 19 inches of snow depending on where you were. That was on Tuesday and by Wednesday morning we had blizzard winds. It was horrible! Kids were out of school for 3 days and Friday was a little iffy as far as travel was concerned. Hopefully that will be the biggest storm of the season this year. Not complaining of the time off of work but shoveling 4 times was a bit much for this old back. My husband could not go out due to illness but we have a couple of neighbor men who were wonderful and helped us out with their snowblowers. Of course I felt like I should help so I went out with my shovel whenever I could and between times that they were here to keep the driveway and sidewalks clear.

I have not had much time to craft lately but a co-worker is having a birthday this week so I had to make her a card. I used a layout from a card a friend sent me, thanks Connie, and I will be using it again and again. I like the way it came out. I colored my image with my Copic markers and then put Crystal Effects on the balloons to make them shiny.

Until next time, Happy Trails to you...

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

We are getting snow tonight. Supposed to have 3 - 5 inches tonight and then 6 - 12 inches on Tuesday night into Wednesday. The older I get the less I like it but I love to see snowmen out on the lawns. That means there are children playing and romping in the snow and that puts a smile on my face. So, today's card is a snowman. I stamped the snowman twice and cut one out. After I colored them with my Copic markers, I mounted one on top of the button that I used for the body. The set is from the Holiday Buttons collection of Paper Trey Ink. I love the whole set however this is the first one I have used. The paper is from my stash. I wish I knew whose it is because I really like it a lot. Pretty simple really.

Until next time... Happy Trails to you

Gingerbread People

Ok, once again time has gotten away from me. Tonight I am posting a card I made for a special friend and her husband for their anniversary. I know it is supposed to be a Christmas card but hey, why not? The stamp set is from Paper Trey Ink and is called Holiday Button Bits. The buttons are also from Paper Trey Ink. I hope you like it. It was fun to make! I am not a big out of the box thinker so this was a stretch for me!

How do you like my new blog look? My friend Eulanda surprised me with it and I LOVE it. Thanks Eulanda!

Until next time .... Happy Trails to you

Girls Best Friend

I received some Magnolia images from two friends, Debra and Andrea. Thanks Ladies! I finally had a chance to play with a couple of them last night. I colored the arm chair with a light Copic color. Then colored the girl and popped her up just a teeny bit off of the chair. Fido was colored with Copics and I used thicker pop dots so he is further away from the chair. Next I found my window stamp and stamped and colored it. Using a craft knife I cut out the glass. I cut another piece of white cardstock and stamped some trees from the SU! set Lovely as a Tree on it. Next I took a colored piece of acetate and stamped snowflakes on it. I put all three layers together and "hung" the window. My wallpaper is paper from my stash. I was happy with the way this card came out and it was a lot of fun to make. Thanks for visiting today.

Hopefully I will be back before Thanksgiving but if I don't make it, I want to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. Are you having turkey or something else? What one special thing do you make year after year. The one thing that everyone would miss if you didn't make it.

Until next time ....Happy Trails

Feeling the Fall Season

Today as the leaves rain down I have a couple of cards to show you. The first one is made from a Stampin Up! set and I used various inks that I have to stamp the leaves. Then I cut out inchies and put across the bottom. The base paper is from Bazzil and the ribbon is from Stampin Up!.

The second card is one I made for a male co-worker for his birthday. He was 24 years old yesterday. My golly, I have clothes older than he is. Anyway the leaves are from a Cuttlebug folder and sent to me by my friend Vicki. Thanks again Vicki. The sentiment is a stamp from Paper Inspirations. I used the new In Colors from Stampin Up! for the base of this card.

That's it for today. Until next time... Happy trails to you!

Today I am showing you a wedding card I made a few weeks ago. I had found this paper in DesMoines IA at Archivers over a year ago and am just now pulling it out to use. I used ribbon from my stash as well as the rhinestones. I got out my JustRite stamper to make the monogram and then embossed it with silver embossing powder I then cut it out with my nesties. I also used my nestie for the scallop behind it.

Until next time...

Happy trails to you!

After my mom died, my friend Carolyn King sent me her new set called Warm Winter Wishes. She said all of the proceeds of this set go to the Alzheimers Association in honor of her grandmother. This set is dear to my heart as that is what my mother had as well. Here is the first card I have made from this set. Thanks so much Cammie!
I used PaperTreyInk's Enchanted Evening paper and their white paper as well. The snowflakes are embossed with a half and half mixture of Ranger's Gold and Snowflake Tinsel and they are also a PaperTreyInk set called Snowflake Serenade. I used my square Nesties to emboss the square, colored the snowman with my Copics, added the small snowflakes with a Judith Stubbie which I glittered with my Spica clear pen. The eyelet is from my stash. I hope you like this one. It is special to me.

Until next time, Happy trails

Ice Cream Maggie

I has been ages since I have blogged. It has been a very busy couple of weeks. My mom passed away on Sept. 29 so this post is in honor of her and her love of ice cream. She loved ice cream. She loved it so much that her great grandchildren called her Ice Cream Grandma. I think up until the last few months she ate a dish of ice cream every day of her life. In fact, I know that she occasionally had ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner. She was 92 years old and was very ready to die. That had been her wish for quite some time so how can we be too sad when we know she is where she wanted to be. Mom, I am picturing you sitting at an ice cream store in Heaven with all of your friends. Have a big Sundae for me!

Today's card is a Magnolia card colored with my Copic markers. The flowers are from Stampin Up! and just stamped in various colors. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.

Until next time... happy trails.....

Spooky Halloween

With the days getting shorter and the mornings and evenings getting chilly I was thinking Halloween can't be too far away. I found these stamps at a garage sale this summer. They are from Stampin Up! and were retired years ago. I had a good time playing with them. There are 4 in the set and the fourth one is the saying which is inside the card. I am thinking these would also make cool bookmarks for Halloween. I colored them all with my Copic markers. This one was colored for a color swap in one of my groups. We had to use orange, green and purple. That just reeks of Halloween to me, how about you?

Until next time, Happy trails...

Dr. Seuss

I know someone who is going through a very tough time right now, so I made a card for her. The inside says, "And will you succeed? Yes indeed, yes indeed! 98 3/4% guaranteed". For those of you have forgotten your Dr. Seuss! I hope she likes it. It is from the new Taylored Expressions The Places You'll Go set. I always give that book to graduates and love the message it gives. I colored the little bit that had to be colored with Copics and sprinkled glitter on the mountain tops. The paper is from my stash. Of course I used my Nesties to cut and emboss.

Until next time... Happy Trails

Everyday Button Bits

Finally it is a long weekend to enjoy. I love 3 day weekends! The first day is spent getting caught up on stuff and going to the grocery store. The second day is usually spent doing chores and getting ready for work the next day so the third day is a gift! A day to relax and do whatever comes your way. Today I did finish a library book called Still Life by Joy Fielding. It was one to keep you on the edge of your chair and a real page turner. Good book. This afternoon I visited my Mom. She has had a couple of pretty bad days. She fell this morning and has been extremely confused since yesterday. She is seeing many of her old friends who have died years ago. And having terrifying dreams. It is so sad to end up like this but I know that God has a reason for everything so who am I to question Him.

Todays card is made from a PaperTreyInk set called Everyday Button Bits. This is such a fun set and there is so much you can do with it. I think this one speaks for itself and need no explanation. If you do have questions, you can email me.

Until next time, Happy Trails...

Motivet

My life is still crazy but at least it is more of a routine crazy now. Hopefully I can post a little more often now.

My dear friend, Eulanda sent me stamp offs of this cute little gal. Isn't she adorable? I love her green eyes! Of course she is colored with Copics and I used a Spellbinder to cut it out. The paper is from Chloe's Closet by Making Memories.

Until next time... Happy trails!

What a week! But the good news is that the first week of school is over. YEAH! It is always the hardest and longest of the year. We picked Mom up from the hospital today as well. She is very weak and we had to put her into the skilled nursing part of her retirement home. It is across the street from where she lives. I sure hope she doesn't have to stay there very long. It is so depressing. Why is it that they paint all of those places such drap colors. I think if they would paint them cheery colors and even painted the old chipped dark furniture white it would be a much happier place. As it is you feel dirty the minute you walk in. The people were very nice so that is the most important.

Last night I needed a very quick thank you card. Here is what I came up with in about 10 minutes. I love this PaperTreyInk set of stamps called Everyday Button Bits. I stamped the leaves with Old Olive from SU and the paper is the same. I used the Cuttlebug Thanks folder. Oh, and the red is from PaperTreyInk as well - Pure Poppy.

Until next time - Happy Trails...

Crazy days!

You must think I have been lost. Good grief it has been awhile. Kids came back to school on Monday so it has been crazy - first getting ready for them and then all the busy-ness of the first few days. I have been exhausted! Then my Mom (92 years old) ended up in intensive care on the first day of school which was really nuts! She is resting comfortably in a regular room tonight and itching to go home. So that's my life right now! We have a grand dog who had a birthday this week and I had to make him a card. I was happy with how it turned out. Happy Birthday Winston!!

In the Summertime

Boy is it hot outside today. Already over 100 degrees and it is still early afternoon. We got up and got our errands done early and I don't think I will be going for a walk today. Hmmm maybe a nap would be in order. It was a rough week. The beginning of the school year for me and we have a district wide new computer program that we need to know NOW. We got very little training on Monday and Tuesday morning and then went to our buildings to work. Not a good way to start. Parents would come in to enroll their kids and I would look at them and want to say, "can you go somewhere else because I don't know how!" Of course I didn't and now I have to figure out how to do it. I had the other program down pat! Now all the rules have changed. So I chose to put a summer card up and where I wish I could be for all next week!

I used sandpaper for the sandy beach and tapped some Close to Cocoa randomly on it. It was colored with my Copics. Not much else to tell. A very simple card.

Until next time, Happy Trails...

Brrrr

It is in the 70's today which is wonderful for the end of July. Usually we are very very hot with unbearable humidity. So it is a pleasant change of pace. Our walk yesterday and this morning were so nice. I could do this forever! With that in mind, I thought I would post a winter card today. The stamp is from My Favorite Things, of course it was colored with my copics and the paper, ribbon and bling are from my stash.

Until next time ... Happy trails

Miss Lucy

I have to share a dog tag I got today. This company is wonderful and has super fast service. I think her tag is just a hoot! I had to blur out some pertinent information due to some strange folks out there in internet land. None of which subscribe to this blog but it is the passer byers. Is that a word? hehe Anyway, without further ado...

Happy trails!

Sheri

Oh! I almost forgot, the website for the tag is www.YappyHappy.com. I am in no way connected to this company and in fact, don't even know the people but I would certainly recommend them. If you do order from them, please tell them Sheri sent you. I did send her an email and tell her how happy I was and that I was putting it on my blog. Thanks

Today I am sharing another card I made in DesMoines last June. Again, Terri brought her Stampscapes and we all got to play with them. There is not a lot to say about this one. I really need to play with the Stampscapes that I have. Not enough hours in the day to play with all of my toys. I go back to work on the 3rd of August. How am I going to fit 8 hours a day into my busy summer schedule? I am busy every minute of every day. Of course a lot of that time is spent walking with Lucy and making cards and reading. But I enjoy doing all of that. I do really enjoy my job as well and once I get there and get started, it is always fine. Just the idea after all of the freedom! Ok, enough. I am rambling tonight.

Until later, Happy Trails

Happy Birthday Aaron

Today is our youngest grandchilds 5th birthday! Happy Birthday Aaron. How did you get so big so fast? It just doesn't seem possible that he is going to start all day kindergarten in just a few short weeks. I made him a birthday card using stickers. I have a good friend, Georgia, who just makes stickers look amazing on cards. I have always looked at them and wondered how to make them look like hers. When we were in DesMoines she helped me make my first sticker card and then when we came home I tried this one. I am pleased with how it came out. I am sorry that I don't remember who made these stickers but I sure do think they are cute. I tore paper for the dirt and then dirtied it up a bit with Ranger ink. It was fun to do and I sure hope he likes it as well. We are going to see him later today.

Until next time...Happy trails to you!

Lacy skirt in the water

I received a new Magnolia in the mail today and had to try her out. I decided she looked like she could be sitting with her feet in the water. I was going for a swimming pool but then spied the fish and thought why not??? Around here there are always logs floating down the river so I perched her on a log and added some vellum for water and then of course the fish. She was fun to do! The fish are from the Perfectly Clear Summer Scene set, the girl and log are from Magnolia. I used my Copics to color everything except the sky and I chalked that. I colored her and then went over it with my VersaMark pen, sprinkled clear embossing powder over it and heat set it. That allowed me to chalk over the top. It was made on PTI white paper, and framed with Berry Sorbet from PTI and mounted on Night of Navy from Stampin' Up! The water is made with vellum. Sure hope you like Little Miss Maggie.

Until next time - Happy Trails

Dog Days of Summer

I made this card for a sweet young lady in South Carolina where it is every bit as hot as it is here. The humidity today was pretty high making for a very warm day coupled with temperatures in the low 90's I used a fun Cuttlebug folder for the background on this card and some fun animal stickers for the paw prints. Then I colored the images with my Copic markers and sprayed Glimmermist over the top. The images are from Serendipity I think. They are sure fun summer stamps and don't these animals look like they are having fun??

Until next time...Happy trails

Time flies

Oh my gosh, where does the time go? I had no idea it had been so long since I posted anything. I hope everyone had a fun safe 4th of July. We sure did. Michelle and Brian came over with the kids, food and fireworks. We grilled hamburgers and made hot dogs for the kids, and then they shot off their fireworks. We had a wonderful show later on from some neighbors across the street from us. Lucy is very happy they are all over though. Next year we will have to tranquilize her. She hated them. Speaking of Lucy, today I thought I would share a picture of her in her car seat. She loves it so I made a scrapbook page of her going to the dog park - her favorite place to play.

Thanks for looking!

That Summer Feeling

What a beautiful summer day it is today. This is my idea of a perfect day. Not a cloud in the sky, the temperature is 86 degrees but the humidity is only 23 percent and there is a nice breeze. This is what I think of when I think summer, not the horrible humidity we usually have. The kind that just takes your breath away the minute you walk out of the door.

My card today is one I made when I was in DesMoines with my stamp group. Terri had taught us how to use Stampscapes last year and when we got home I even ordered some and there they sat all year long. I have way too many toys and forget about using them (shh don't tell Bill I even thought that!) Anyway I played with the Stampscapes again this year and made this card. It is where I would like to be all winter long! I used the Melon Melody Kaleidacolor stamp pad and brayered the ink on glossy paper and then stamped the images on that. I really do like how it came out.

I hope that your Sunday is as beautiful as it is here in Nebraska!

Til we meet again,
Sheri

Michelle and Brian are home but I have one last post about the kids stay with us. The night before Mom and Dad came home, the boys got super quiet and when I went to check they were very busy coloring and making pictures for the homecoming. Aaron finished his and really wanted to show it to the camera. How could I resist that sweet face? Michelle and Brian had a wonderful time and my house is once again very quiet but it feels so empty. We had a great week. Hey boys did you tell your parents about the turkeys?

Water fights

Today started with our upside down day (Thanks Joyce!) and we had pizza for breakfast. Then we went to the post office to mail a couple of packages and finally to the Goodwill to clear out my garage. By the time we got home Bill was up and the kids played and started bickering and bickering and Bill lost it. He really yelled and pounded his fist on the kitchen table. After he got their attention, they were perfect for hours! We had sandwiches for lunch and then later the boys and Lucy and I went out in the yard for a water fight. Our thermometer read 105 degrees. We had a ball getting each other wet and being the one in charge of the hose. Then we started the round sprinkler and ran through that for awhile. Justin said he didn't know of any other grandma who had water fights with the kids. We then had ice cream and popsicles. We came in the house and took showers and within about 10 minutes after we were finished it was pouring and windy and thundering outside. It rained for probably a half hour and then it was done but it did cool off. It is now only 86 degrees. For dinner we had sausage, cereal and waffles. Now the kids are playing quietly and I am writing this. These kids are kids and they have had their squabbles but darn, they are really good boys. We have enjoyed them but we are tired as well. Tomorrow is the last day. We don't know what we will do yet but I am sure we will have fun doing something. Oh! Aaron is starting to ask to go home. This is a long time for a little guy. Justin would stay longer he says. Bet his story changes when he sees Mom and Dad.

The kids

I thought I would post a picture of Makala (our oldest grandchild and a twin) who stopped over today to see Justin and Aaron. Justin is 8 and Aaron is 4. They were so excited to see her. She said she would try to come back on Wednesday. We didn't do much today. Worked in the yard for a short time, ate popsicles and tried to stay cool. It is over a hundred according to our thermometer. We ate at the Golden Corral tonight and I told the boys about camping in Missouri and how we used to go to the Golden Corral every night to cool off. Tomorrow is upside down day. Stay tuned! I bet you can't wait to see what that is!

For Michelle and Brian

Today I won't post a card, but am giving Michelle and Brian an update so if you aren't Michelle or Brian, you may stop reading now and wait for something more interesting. We made it to Mahoney yesterday. We took a picnic lunch and then went swimming. The boys had a ball! So did I - honest! We HAVE to take them back before school starts. Aaron lost his swim suit in the wave pool. He kept trying to pull them up but the waves were against him. That was their favorite part - they giggled and giggled when the waves hit. Aaron also liked the slide alot and shooting water out of the guns. Justin loved the diving board. After we were finished there, we went to the tower and Aaron and I climbed to the very top. Justin made it 2/3 of the way. Bill and I realized that we should have used sunscreen on us as well as the kids. They are just fine but we are crispy critters.

Saturday night we went to the store to stock up on junk food. We had KoolAid, Capri Sun, donuts, ice cream, popsicles, fudgesicles, grapes (see I am health conscious) chips, etc in the cart. When we got to the checkout, Aaron said "Mom doesn't want me to have much sugar". I thought the lady behind us was going to wet her pants!

This morning the boys got up and started to bicker. Finally Bill called Aaron into the kitchen and asked what the problem was. Aaron told him exactly what had happened while Justin was in the other room. After his lengthly explaination, Bill asked him if Justin would say the same thing because he was going to ask him too. Aaron thought for a minute and then said "I don't know, I will go and ask him!" We cracked up!

Don't know what we will do today. They said to tell you they loved you!

Saturday happenings and Lucy

Happy Sunday! First I must say that I am really writing this for Michelle and Brian who are in Mexico celebrating their annniversary. This is how I will keep them up to date on what the boys are doing in their absence. Hopefully they will have a computer available to them and they can see this. It is cloudy and we got 3/4 inch of rain overnight. Finally! I have to make this short today as we have our grandsons here for the week. My oh my they are busy little people but we are having fun. Yesterday we took everything out of Grandpa's garage and cleaned it. We were sure dirty when we were finished. We all took showers and then went to Surfside to eat. Their prices are sure not what they used to be! But it was fun to sit outside and watch the boats. We even got mooned by some goofball. I pointed in the opposite direction and told the boys to look and they missed the whole experience. We then went to the store and stocked up on goodies for the week. When we got home, the Aaron had a dish of ice cream and I did laundry and then the boys went to bed to watch a movie. (Flight of the Navigator). This morning we were all up bright and early and we had powdered sugar donuts for breakfast. The boys surprised Grandpa with his birthday and Father's Day gift which he really liked. Now they are waiting for something to do. The sky is getting lighter so we may go to Mahoney to swim. Gonna be a hot one today with tomorrow's heat index at 105!

Here is another page of Lucy's scrapbook. All of my toys are put away for the week. I am already going into withdrawal! This is what happens when you send a white dog outside to play in the grass right after it has been mowed.

That's it for today. Hopefully I can get back here later today or tomorrow to update you on the kids activites.

Friday, June 19, 2009

Good Morning! Summer has certainly arrived in Nebraska. We have had temperatures in the high 90's for the last 2 days. Last night we even had thunder and lightening and rain! The boys come tonight for a week. Well until next Thursday anyway - close enough to a week to call it a week. I hope the weather is nice but not miserable. I don't know if I will even see the computer for the next few days. I think I am too old for this!!

Ok now on to the card of the day. The card I made for today was given to a friend in Iowa. The dresses were stamped on the paper and then stamped and colored with my Copics and then it was stamped again on PTI's white cardstock. After coloring them I went over them with my Versamark pen and sprinkled clear embossing powder on it and heat set. That allows you to go over it again and just wipe the card clean. So cool! So without further ado...

Have a great day - I guess I will see you when I see you!

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

Good morning to you! It rained overnight - not a lot but just enough to make everything wet. It is still very cloudy but supposed to get very warm today when it clears up. Our two youngest grandsons are coming for almost a week. They live nearby but Mom and Dad are going on a vacation alone. We are looking forward to having them but I know I won't be here during that time. They are busy little guys. I am sure I will be exhausted by the time they leave. I am already planning on having them put me to bed instead of me putting them to bed.

Today's card is one I made for a friend. I can't remember whose paper that is but the stamp set is from Stampin' Up and is called Sage Advise. It is one of my favorite sets and I don't use it nearly enough. I used the oval Nestabilities or cut and emboss my saying.

Thanks for looking! Enjoy your day

Happy Anniversary

I made this card a couple of weeks ago but am just now getting it posted. I use this card for anniversaries and also for retirement. I just love this couple.

Today was a lazy day. Spent the morning with my Mom who is 92. We had brunch with her and then came home and lazed around on the deck for a couple of hours. Then we took our little Lucy to the dog park and now am just getting home.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and a great start to the new week.

Friday, June 12, 2009

My it has been a busy week. Des Moines was so much fun and we got home around 6:30 Tuesday night. Wednesday was a busy doctor day doing all that annual stuff and Thursday I was at the dentist and then went to lunch with a friend. Today I hope to catch up a bit around here. At least I can post a card I made. It is for a swap in one of my groups. I was pleased at how it turned out. I colored with Copics and the stamp set is from Stampendous and is an Archivers exclusive. The stickers are also from Stampendous.

Lucy and Ricky

Here I am at 1:20 in the morning. Lucy and I were awakened by a noise outside so we went to investigate. Of course this means looking out the windows with the doors all locked and the alarm on! Anyway there was a huge raccoon eating away at the bird seed. After Lucy scared him off by her mean growl and bark, we thought we would wait for Bill to come home. I am almost all packed for my trip this weekend. At least my stamping stuff is. I am really looking forward to this mini trip. Today I am showing you a scrapbook page I made of Lucy. The pictures were taken on Easter Sunday. My mother who is 92 was here and absolutely adores Lucy and that is her you see holding her. I used my Just Rite stamper for the "pampered princess". The paper is from my stash. Nothing too exciting but I scanned several of the pages so thought I would share them. Have a great Friday!

Cookies and Banana Bread

What a weekend and Monday! I made 2 huge batches of oatmeal cookies, some lemon cookies on Sunday and 9 loaves of banana bread tonight. Ok, some of the oatmeal cookies are going to Iowa with me on Sunday. There are about 12 of us stampers who gather annually and have a couple of wonderful days. We stamp, we eat, we gossip, we eat, we exchange ideas, we eat, we share what we have learned in the last year and we eat. I will take cookies and some banana bread. The rest of the cookies are made for my two youngest grandsons who will be staying with us for a week in June while Mom and Dad go to Mexico to relax and celebrate their 10th anniversary. I figured while I was baking I should just get it all done with at once. I never bake anything anymore so my husband, Bill was extremely surprised and very happy! I had a bunch of bananas in the freezer and now they are finally gone.

Tomorrow is my last day of work for 8 whole weeks. Ahhh the joys of summer vacation. I do believe that the anticipation is better than the real thing. It goes so fast once it starts.

Ok, on to the card for today. I made this one quite some time ago and before I fell in love with Copics but I still like the card. The stamps are all from Eat Cake Graphics as is the chunky glitter. They are colored with SU markers. Pretty basic but a fun summer card.

Sweet baby boy

Good morning to you. I thought I would share one of the cards I made recently. I guess if I want people to see this blog, I need to tell people it is out here, right? Perhaps I will let the cat out of the bag soon. Right now I am just playing and trying to figure this all out. Anyway my husband's boss's wife had a baby boy last week and this is the card I made to go along with the gift we sent. I know the picture is crooked but when I took it I was taking it only as a reference so I could make another one down the road but lo and behold, it ended up on a blog I had no intention of starting when I did. I am sure I cased this card from someone but have no idea who. Surely I didn't dream this one up alone!

Supplies used were:
Stamps - So Many Scallops from SU and Everyday Classics from PTI
Inks - Bashful Blue and Ballet Blue from SU
Buttons and Ribbon - from my stash

My first post

Who would have ever thought that this grandma would ever have a blog. Well, here is proof that I am trying to be a "with it" old lady! hehe I am creating this to have a place to share my cards that I love to make and also share some pictures of my new puppy and my wonderful grandkids. So sit back and enjoy - that is if I ever get something for you to see! All in good time, right? It is super late here now so I will post something tomorrow evening ok?
