Spring Jar

Can you stand one more jar card? Another Papertrey Ink image with flowers in the jar. I loved the bright colors of this one. Papers were from my stash - newer but already cut so don't remember whose they are. I put a button for the center of each of my flowers.

I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter, Passover or whatever you celebrate. I hope you are having some nice weather where you are. Sure wish we could say we are but today is very windy and the wind chills make the temperature feel like 32 degrees. Of course we still have the high winds. I am beginning to wonder if spring will ever get to Nebraska...

Until next time, Happy trails to you...

Bunny in the Jar

Good morning! Don't you just love lazy Saturday mornings? Remember last week I said spring had finally arrived? Well as quickly as it came it has left. We had pouring rain for two days with lots of wind. Finally today the rain has stopped but it is still very cloudy and very very windy. It is only 34 degrees with a wind chill of 18 degrees. I guess the bright side is that we are not shoveling snow!

So back to my "in the jar" cards. It is fun deciding what goes into the jar next! Today I put a bunny in the jar. The background paper as well as the pink and brown polka dot paper is from The Girls' Paperie and is from the vintage whimsy collection. It is a double sided paper which I think takes all the guess work out of making a card! I colored with Copics. The flower strip along the bottom is from Doodlebug and is part of a package of paper frills. The yellow candy dots are from Pebbles.

I made this for my friend Connie. She has received it and asked that I put it on my blog so hi Connie! Just for you :)

Until next time, happy trails to you ....

Easter Chick

I am having so much fun with the Friendship Jar and Spring Additions from Papertrey Ink. This is just one of many of the cards I have made with it. I used Girls Paperie paper - isn't it just one of the prettiest papers you have ever seen? I got it at Archivers. I put a doily on top of that and then my jar. Of course I used my Copics to color and popped the chick up with pop dots. I didn't have any ribbon the right color so I used white ribbon and colored it with my Copics.

It has finally turned to spring here and we are loving the warm sun on our faces. Leaves are popping out all over and our little Lucy is happily playing at the puppy park once again. It is fun to see all of the new puppies coming for the first time. Seems just a little while ago that it was us and Lucy was so afraid to get off of my lap. Now she acts as if she owns the place!

Until next time... Happy Trails to you...

Easter Bunny

First off when you finish here head over to http://jacquesmagnolias.blogspot.com/2011/04/sweet-stuff-and-beautiful-tilda-at-just.html and see the great give away she has going on!

Now for my card. I was at my friend, Georgia's house last week and we got a lot done. She had this stamp and it was really calling my name. I forgot to look to see who makes this stamp but I am pretty sure she said she has had it for a very long time so it may be discontinued by now. I colored with my Copics of course and then found these papers in my stash. Now why did I buy those papers in the first place? I can't imagine what I was thinking but they sure are perfect for this bunny and his carrot. I popped the image up on pop dots and used my Spica glitter pen for a little sparkle. I didn't add any embelishments as I thought this wild paper was enough. Oh, and of course I used my Nesties for the cutting.

I believe spring is really trying to get here now. We have had blue skies 2 days in a row and temperatures in the 60's. Now speaking of temps, I have a friend in Alaska, hi Elizabeth! and she wrote to me that it was 11 below zero and they could finally go outside with just a light sweater on. I asked her if I had read that right and she said yes, it feels very warm after the 60 below zero temperatures they have in the winter. So I guess it is all in what you get used to. Don't think I want to get used to that!

Until next time, happy trails to you...
