Yesterday's a Memory and Happy New Year

Last summer when we were in Des Moines, the stamp store had a class for this card. We were not going to be there for the class but we did buy the "stuff" to make our own. They used wrapping paper for the background sheet and then the card itself is cream cardstock. The light blue cardstock is Bazzill. The butterfly is a sticker from K & Co. and the verse is a set of stamps from Wordsworth. We made several cards similar to this and I thought they all came out very nice. I love the colors!

Happy New Year to you. I hope everyone was safe and had a wonderful evening. We stayed home and were in bed long before the clock struck midnight. We were awakened by the fireworks at midnight though. Sure were a lot of them! Do anyone of you do anything special for New Years Day? We don't. Other than eat some left over snacks and try to clean out the fridge from the holidays. We do have a shrimp ring every year so we have that to look forward to either today or tomorrow. Nebraska plays their bowl game tomorrow so we will have treats for two days instead of just today.

Until next time, Happy trails to you.....

I like it though, just took that long to get it designed! what a joke! lol Tim's going to get ice so we can make ice cream. Have some cream I need to use up.. it's to cold for ice cream! lol Are you sorry you asked yet? haha! Gotta get this tree taken down but it's so pretty this year...not even drying out that bad yet!
Beautiful card! The gals in DM do design lovely card classes, don't they! I've taken a few too. TFS!

  2. I think that is my favorite card of the ones we made in Des Moines. I finally gave it up and sent it to someone who was retiring from our bank.

  3. Those were all such pretty cards in that kit, for sure! We did something special for New Year's Eve - we stayed home and it was just the two of us:) We, too, are finishing up all the leftovers from Christmas. I think they are all taken care of now. Happy New Year!
