Miss You

Good morning! Another Saturday rolls around and our day will be busy. Have to go to buy birdseed for our birds. We enjoy watching them outside our kitchen window. Believe it or not, that is one reason I have not pushed for a craft room. I love to be in the kitchen and watching the birds when I craft.

Today's card was made for a friend that I am not seeing near as much as I used to. I used the Papertrey Ink anniversary set to make this card. The inks were all Memento inks. I really like the watercolor look to this card. Of all of the anniversary sets that PTI has put out I love this one the best. The butterfly is also from Papertrey and I colored it with my Copics.

Last week I mentioned that I was going to Des Moines IA for our annual stamping get together. Well unfortunately it is over for another year but oh the memories. We had so much fun and laughed and giggled until our sides hurt. Some of the ladies had new techniques to show us, some brought lots of food, some shared new things and everyone contributed. There was considerable lack of sleep but so worth it. Several of us were in the breakfast room at the motel when a lady came up to us and asked if we were rubber stampers. She was from Colorado Springs, CO and was also a stamper. She brought in a box of her cards and we each got to pick out a card she had made. Hi Dee! What a nice lady! Her poor husband said she has so much stuff he barely has room for his Cheerios anymore. Sound familiar? Another man walked into the breakfast room in the evening when we were making some cards and asked if we were Creative Memories ladies. We weren't but the fact that he knew that amazed me.

That's all for today. I want to wish a very happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there. And a very special Father's Day to my wonderful hubby who lets me do so many crazy things and is usually right there in the thick of things with me.

Until next time... Happy trails to you!

Sheri

  8. Very nice card. I haven't seen Papertrey here in Hawaii so am like clueless about that. I really like your card. Your group get together sounded like so much fun. Sounds like you had an instant friend who joined the group. Isn't it wonderful how these crafts can easily open the world to others and are an easy bridge to friendship.

    Aloha from Hawaii

  11. BROL! That is hilarious about husbands knowing what Creative Memories is and only having room for Cheerio's!! The other day Mike walked in and said "I found something outside for you that would be nice on your cards!" He had brought in 2 huge moth wings with nice rust colors in them. The rest of it was gone but the wings are gorgeous but I started to laugh. Now I have my husband eying up potential embellishments!! LMBO!! I'm glad you had so much fun. We already know when we go that we can just toss sleep right out the window hey? LOL! But you're right...totally worth it. Love this card. It's so pretty and that little butterfly adds so much! Enjoy your week! Hugs!
