Happy Birthday

This is a card I made for a friend, (hi Joni!) who is having a birthday. Right now she is on a cruise to Spain etc. so she won't be seeing this before the big day. The base of the card is PaperTreyInk cardstock. The background paper has been in my stash for so many years I have no idea who made it but I am pretty sure it has been retired for a very long time. The image is one of Taylored Expressions ( Joni is a teacher and heading back to school soon so I thought this would be perfect for her birthday in August. The blue down the side is a strip from Doodlebug's paper frills and then I put some Rain Dots from Cloud 9 on top of it. The image was colored with my Copic markers and then chalked around.

Well, tomorrow is THE DAY. After having 8 wonderful weeks at home I have to go back to work. Golly I swear that 8 weeks goes faster every year. I will sure miss being at home with Bill and Lucy and going for my early morning walks. Oh well, 10 months from now I can do it again. And the time does go very quickly once I am there and going. I hope your summer is rolling along at a very slow pace and you can enjoy every minute.

Until next time, Happy Trails to You.....
