Hydrangia

This card was made using a beautiful stamp that my friend, Georgia had. I don't think there was a name on it and she did say it was one of her oldest stamps. I colored the flower with my Copics. The paper is from a K&Co. pack I bought at a garage sale. The black paper it is outlined with is Bazzill and the butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch. Finally I sponged around the design with chalk ink.

I mentioned my husband's surgery the last time. Well now it is over. We are still in the hospital as the surgery was yesterday (Friday) but the doctors have been in and released him to go home so we should be home by lunchtime. He has some restrictions - no hot coffee or soups as they could cause severe swelling in his throat. No driving and he has to wear a foam brace or collar for 2 - 3 weeks. Hey we can live with that. He is feeling pretty good. I stayed at the hospital all night and I bet neither of us slept for more than an hour and a half all night. Our own bed will feel so good tonight! Thanks for all of your well wishes and prayers. They worked!

Until next time, Happy trails to you

AND your card is beautiful! The coloring on that flower is so pretty and I love the way you sponged around the design. I don't ever think to do that!

  5. WHOA! This is absolutely GORGEOUS SHERI! I love those colors and they way you have darkened some areas for depth. Super pretty!

So glad all went well, although if you're already a coffee drinker - THAT would be tough. If he gets a headache could be from not having any. Sending more prayers for a speedy recovery and I'm so glad the operation went smoothly!! HUGS!
