Merry Christmas From Us

I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.  Stay safe if you are traveling.  On this most holy night in the Christian faith, may you rejoice in the fact that our Savior is born.  God Bless you all and your families.

I wanted to also take this time to thank all of my followers and those that leave comments.  It means so much to me to hear from you.  Each of you are important to  me.  Thanks!  I look forward to sharing more next year.

Christmas with the Puppies

I thought I would share a card I made for Lucy's groomers.  Unfortunately we had a snow storm with lots of wind so had to take the picture inside so it is not a great picture but you can get the idea.  We took huge boxes of treats for them to give to the puppies that go for either play days or boarding and then made the workers some treats as well.  As for Lucy's groomer, she got a special pampering gift.  She spends her days and most of her nights and weekends with the dogs so we thought it would be nice to treat her to something special.  Anyway I loved this puppy sitting on her pillow, surrounded by gifts.  The second picture of is our puppy, Lucy after she was groomed wearing her new Christmas sweater.  Lucy told me that she wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

Do you have snow where you are?  I could sure do without it but I guess winter is here for a few  months.

Until next time, happy trails to you...

SNOWGLOBE SNOWMAN

I am putting this card on my blog today because as I look outside it is snowing.  So far not sticking but haven't heard if it is supposed to or not.  I used all PTI paper and a Memory Box die for the snowglobe and star.  The snowman is from a long retired SU set.  And I colored him with my Copics. I made several of these and the later ones got some stickles around the snow globe as well.  Can't have too much glitter!

I think we as a nation have heavy hearts this weekend in view of the tragedy in Connecticut.  I pray for comfort for the town, peace for the families and rest for the souls who will be spending Christmas in Heaven this year.   I also pray for the safety of my own grandchildren as they grow up and our grown grandchildren as they go to work and school daily.  I would love to go back to the 50's where things were safe and the most violent thing we saw on tv was Gunsmoke and Roy Rogers.  Maybe our leaders should think of how we could go backwards instead of rushing ahead.  Some things weren't so bad in the old days.

Until next time.... Happy trails to you.

Little Angels

Aren't these little ladies adorable?  It is a Lili of the Valley stamp and I could not wait to color it up.  I colored with my Copics and used a Spellbinder Nestability to cut it out.  I embossed my pink paper and had the strip left over from another project.  The rhinestones were from my stash.

So are you all ready for Christmas?  I need to wrap but I think I am finished shopping.  I made progress this week.

I have a book recommendation for you today.  A Winter Dream by Richard Paul Evans.  It is excellent!  Not necessarily a Christmas story but a definite must read.

Until next time, happy trails to you....

Merry Christmas Bears

I took an non traditional image and used non traditional colors and came up with this Christmas card.  I did use the colors in the Christmas paper, however.  The image is from LOTV and of course I colored it up with my Copics.  The flowers were in my stash.  I like the way it came out even if it is not a traditional card.

We have had a wonderful fall that still continues.  Most of our days have been very nice.  We had one day last week where it was very cold and we even had snow that stuck on the grassy spots for a little while.  That was very soon a memory.

I think I have finished my Christmas shopping.  Now to wrap everything.  Not my favorite thing to do, however so I have put it off.  I did a ton of online shopping for the first time this year.  I always ordered a couple of things on line but this year I did the majority of my shopping online.  That is certainly the way to go.  I loved it and it is so fun when the UPS  man shows up!

Hope your holiday plans are in full swing and you are ready to run with them!

Until next time, Happy trails to you....

One Month Left

before Christmas Eve.  No pressure at all!  I thought being retired would put me ahead of the game.  Not so!  Where does the time go and what am I doing with all of the extra I was supposed to have?  I still have a few gifts to buy, I have to wrap everything, I found I needed some more cards so they are in the works, the tree has got to go up yet and any decorating inside needs to be done.  On the finished side is the outside is done - not much, just a lighted wreath and a large vase and birdbath decorated.  Most of my shopping is done - I love cyber shopping!  I have lots of stuff baked and frozen.  So I am making progress.

My card today is a case of Kitty Kraft.  I used the window die and some paper I put through the crimper for the curtain.  I then punched the bottom with a Martha Stewart punch.  I also used a MS punch to punch out the ferns and then some gemstones I turned into holly berries.  I put it all on some blue sparkly paper I have had for years.  It was very easy except I got very sticky putting the fern branches down.  Maybe the Xyron next time.

Until next time, happy trails to you

Happy Thanksgiving

I can't believe it is almost Thanksgiving already.  This year just flew by.  I am in the midst of Christmas baking.  I don't do much but want to make some things to give away.  My kitchen looks like Sandy the Hurricane was here!  Soon the goodies will be filling my freezer.  That will feel so good!  Things are slowly getting back to normal around here after the hospital stay for my husband so like I said last week, we have alot to be thankful for.

My Thanksgiving card was made with some pretty paper I have had in my stash.  I used the leaf from  a Close to My Heart set and tapped Memento Inks on it for color.  Then I cut it out and cut another one from dark brown cardstock for the background of the leaf.  I popped the leaf up with a pop dot and added my sentiment.  Easy peasy!

I wish all of my American friends a very happy and safe Thanksgiving.  Enjoy time with family and friends and if you are a Black Friday shopper, best of luck!  I will sleep in and grab the left overs!

Until next time, happy trails to you....
