Thanks, Dear Friend!

My friend Eulanda, asked me to send her a picture of Bill and me together so I found this one when we were at my cousins' farm a couple of summers ago.  This is what she returned to me!  It is on canvas and truly an amazing piece of art.  I call it my Picasso!  I can't even imagine all of the time let alone talent it took to make this.  She makes the  most beautiful cards as well over at http://eulandasilvey.blogspot.com/.  I think I will take it somewhere and have it put into a shadow box so it doesn't get dusty.  I just can't thank her enough for this wonderful memory and piece of art.

Until next time, happy trails to you...

Puppy Get Well

My friend, Georgia had her knee replaced this month and Lucy and I sent her this card.  Georgia takes care of Lucy when I am gone and I take care of her dogs when she is gone.  So this little dog looks like Lucy and when Lucy saw the stamp she insisted that I make it for her.  Then she found my stash and decided she wanted a flower in her hair.  I tell you I should never have let her in my craft room!  Now she is going to want to tell me how to make all of my cards.

Until next time, Happy trails to you....

Happy First Birthday!

My great nephew is going to celebrate his first birthday tomorrow and I made this fun card for him.  Remember the Craft Lounge stamps?  This came from one of their sets.  I think the elephant is so cute!  I have never used him before - sad, I buy them and put them away and forget about them.  I am trying to be better about this.  Anyway that is my card for today and happy birthday Brooks!

Until next time, Happy trails to you

NBUS Baby

Are you wondering what NBUS stands for?  I believe I mentioned it a couple of posts ago but I will tell you again just in case you are old like me and stuff falls out of my brain at a rapid rate.  It is Never Before Used Stuff.  Darnell over at Djkardkreations is responsible for this challenge.  Boy do I have a lot of NBUS.  I was asked to make a baby card for a couple in my church who just had a baby boy.  I pulled out this woodgrain background stamp that I have had for ages and never used along with a Verve sentiment again never used and then used some PapertreyInk stars that I have used before and then as a final touch I put some never before opened bling on top of the stars.  I like how it came out and it certainly is not your typical baby card!  I hope they like it as well.  I am going to link this up at Darnell's now but will be back later with another card.

Until next time, happy trails to you

Kites!

I just got some new dies and immediately made this card.  The kites are from Impression Obsession.  I really love their dies.  I made this one for a friend and she got it today so I can post it now.  I like the little bows that come with the kites and the strings are also a separate die.  We have had such cold weather here but lots of big winds so I was thinking nicer temperatures and lighter winds.  I am just done with this cold and wind.  I should not complain as we have not had much snow so far.  I know there is a lot more winter ahead but a little break would be nice.  I am going to enter this into the NBUS challenge.

Until next time, happy trails to you!

Impression Obsession Snowman

http://wwwfunwithpaper.blogspot.com/2015/01/impression-obsession-snowman.html
I am participating in NBUS for the first time.  Ok, a new year and time for new things so started off by making a card with my new Impression Obsession snowman.   I also stenciled the falling snow using embossing paste.  I am glad this snowman is not in Omaha but if he were he would certainly not melt.  It has been so cold here in the last week!  I am envious of those in warmer climates.  Lucy is sitting on my lap now and is shivering.  I am going to find her sweater to put on her.  Anyway back to my card and the challenge.  I just got this snowman in the mail last week and finally had some time to play.   Oh!  And if you are wondering what NBUS stands for, it is Never Before Used Stuff.  I have lots of that!  If I have time, I may enter a couple more not yet even made cards!

Until next time...

Happy trails to you!
