Who is old enough to remember the Viewmaster? I never had one but the neighbor kids did and I remember us looking at that for hours. When Tim Holtz came out with this die, I had to get it. This little bear from Whimsy.
Little Bear Canoe Adventure and there are several wonderful sayings that come with this cute image and guess how much they cost? Nada, zip, nothing! Free with purchase of the digi! What a deal!! Doesn't he appear to be looking for salmon! I paper pieced his canoe and colored the rest with my Copic markers. The paper is from my stash. I am really loving the
digis from Whimsy. They are so fun to work with and can be made larger or smaller or flipped however you need it to be. Try doing that with a rubber stamp! Oh I still have a ton of rubber and love them and will continue to buy more but such a cool change of pace for me anyway.
Until next time, Happy trails to you!

Great paper piecing, and the bear is great!!
ReplyDeleteI had a Viewmaster and lots of the reels of pictures - mostly Walt Disney stuff. Your paper piecing is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love your card. My brother had a viewmaster. I was a bit older when they came out. I also got them for my kids. The paper-piercing on the canoe is great.
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how many hours I passed with my viewmaster when I was a kid! Thanks for the memories! Love the way you paper-pieced the boat AND paddle! The bear is adorable and of course you really colored him well. Now I'm off to check out their digis....smile!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute image and the paper you used to piece the design is awesome. What a great job! I do like the ability to resize digis!!!
ReplyDeleteThis card is so cute! You paper pieced a digi? Or is this an actual stamp? I do believe you are right that he is searching for salmon. lol Did you ever try mirroring rubber stamps? pfffffft! I never got it to work well enough to actually do anything with it. ok off to look at your latest creation!
