Penguins Are Present!

Look at these cuties!  The talented Crissy from Crissy's Digis designed this.  You can find it right here.  I colored with my Copic markers and then decided to add some dots to the bow so used my Sharpie pen for that.  I did some doodling around the edges which I always forget to do.

I am just finishing up a good book I should tell you about.  It is The Heart's Journey Home by Jen Stephens.  I got it at a garage sale this past summer and am really enjoying it.  I hope to read a lot more now with the cold weather closing in on us.  It sure is giving us a preview now.  Brrrrrr after such a nice fall and one of the prettiest falls we have had in years.  Now the leaves are about all gone and we had snow flurries today.  Ok maybe only about 10 but I saw them!

Until next time, happy trails to you!

Christmas Mice

Ok, I saw this cute Whimsy digital image from LiaStampz called Christmas Mice and had to color it up right away.  But wait!  Remember how I have said how versatile digital images are?  Well, I used the original image but then added the "JOY" from this set from Stamp Art Design by Kathryne.  It was so easy to just set it on top of the ornament and then print it out.  I distressed the edges and then ran an ink pad around them.  I also used a holly die from Whimsy to complete my card.  Oh, I almost forgot, I put Crystal Effects all over the ornament and the glasses on the little mouse to make them really really shiny.  So hop on over to Whimsy and get yourself some fun digital images and try this.

A shout out to Eulanda for making my blog so pretty!  Thanks so much, I love it!!

Until next time, Happy trails to you!!!

Whimsy Digital Snowmen

Oh I can't tell you how much fun this was to color.  These snow people are the best! They are by LiaStampz and can be found right here.  I colored them with my Copic markers and then cut them out with Nestibilities.  I used Distressed White Frantage on everything before assembling.  I thought they needed some wintery trees so cut some out and pop dotted them up for some dimension. Finally put it all on craft paper and called it finished.

This card is so timely as I hear there were snow flurries in Omaha this morning at 1:30 A.M.  Needless to say, I missed them.  That is fine with me!  But tomorrow we are back to mild weather for a few days!  YEAH!  Oh but the leaves are falling fast and furious.  The trees were so pretty this fall.  I don't remember such a pretty fall for a very long time.

Oh, and I remember telling you a very long time ago that if I read a book that I really liked, I would mention it here.  I just finished Nicholas Sparks The Longest Ride.  It was excellent.  And now I am reading a new to me author, Jen Stephens.  Her book is The Heart's Journey Home.  It is very good as well.  Time to snuggle by the fireplace and read some good books.  What have you read lately?

Until next time, Happy trails to you

Snowman Hold My Heart

Another snowman card!  I love making snowman cards - not the real deal, too cold.  I will settle for the ones I can make inside the house!  This cutie is another one of Crissy's Digi's at Whimsy Stamps.  I colored him up with my Copics and remembered to save the colors to show you!  The snowman's jacket looks green in the picture but it is yellow in real life.   In fact all of the colors are a little skewed in the picture.  It is yellows and peaches as you can see from my colors in the glass here.  I added an icicle from Impression Obsession, a snowflake from Memory Box and  made both out of glittery paper. The background blue snowflake paper is quite old and is by Creative Imaginations.

Until next time...  Happy trails to you!

Fall is when nature turns to gold

This pretty fall image is from Whimsy Stamps.   The artist is none other than the talented Kathryne and it comes with some bonus stamps which is where the sentiment came from.  I colored it up with my Copics and cut it out with my Nestabilities Leaves.  It is all mounted on some beautiful fall paper.    Here in Nebraska fall is definitely here.  There is big nip in the air but until this week it has been very warm.  So we are still seeing flowers and our leaves are turning beautiful colors.

So until next time, happy trails to you...

The Infant King

It is getting closer and closer to Christmas so thought I would start on my cards, finally.  The pretty image is a Whimsy image by Crissy called The Infant King and can be found here.  She has so many nice images to color.  The weather here is looking more and more like fall.  The last few days have been cloudy and today is very chilly and windy as well.  So it was time to get out the Christmas stuff, turn on the Christmas music and play.  I love the expressions on the animals and the angel.  Crissy did a wonderful job designing this.

Until next time, happy trails to you...

Shabby Chic Challenge

When Whimsy suggested a shabby chic challenge, I thought it would be fun and then I thought, what defines shabby chic?  I decided I really didn't know.  I distressed the edges, and I added some lace and shabby blue frantage.  Probably needed a doily too but now is too late to think of that.  Anyway, this adorable snowman is from the brand new digital release from Crissy's Digis at Whimsy.  Now you can play along by popping on over to the Challenge and entering your creation!  I was out of town so could not participate in the blog hop yesterday but you really need to check out the adorable images this month! This little snowman and his friend the bird, are so much cuter when it is 70 degrees outside that when it is zero!  So that is it for me today, I am going to go sit on the deck, read a book and enjoy this nice day.

Until next time, Happy trails to you...

Happy Anniversary!

Today is my husband's and my anniversary.  I saw a similar card made up with this image and verse and loved it so made one the same but completely different.  LOL  Anyway just wanted to hop on here and wish Bill a very happy anniversary.  You have made me the happiest girl in the world for many  many years.  I love you more today than I did the day we got married.  So much more!  Happy anniversary my love!

Bill has to have rotator cuff surgery on the 25th of October so good thoughts would be appreciated  for him.  He is not the most patient person in the world so this will be a very long haul for him.

This cute image is a Whimsy digital image by Crissy and can be found right here!

Until next time, happy trails to you...

If the Broom Fits...

Eat Cake Graphics came out with some new stamps last week!  I couldn't wait to get my hands on them and get inky!  I colored her up, fussy cut her out  and attached her to the lamp post.    Her name is Griselda!  Isn't that a hoot?  Then I thought there should be something across the bottom so I stamped these skull flowers at the bottom!  Added some punched out bats and glittered the edges of the card and a new card was born!  And you can buy all of their stamps as either mounted or unmounted!  What a great option that is!  I hope you enjoy my little creation here and will go to check out the new stamps Holly has.

Until next time, Happy trails to you!

AUTUMN DELIGHT

Today I colored up an adorable image from StampArtDesign by Kathryne.  It is her brand new Autumn Delight found right here.  And when you look at the image, notice the two bonus images you get with it all for only $3.00!  I have been pricing wooden single stamps and sure can't find any for $3.00!  What a wonderful deal!!!  Anyway this was so much fun to color up that I forgot to mark the colors I used but they are Copics.  Then after I colored it, I mounted it on some Halloween Parade paper by Doodlebug.  I couldn't stop there though - I sprinkled on some Aged Gold Frantage and heat set it.  Such a fun card to make.  If you have not ever tried a digital image, give this one a try.  I can assure you that you will love it!  Now on to fall.  It is feeling like fall here today although yesterday felt like mid summer - humid and hot.  Loving the crisp feel of fall.  Just wish the very cold and snowy winter wouldn't follow.  So with that said, Happy fall y'all!

Until next time, Happy trails to you!

BABY GIRL!

I was invited to a baby shower recently for a friend's daughter who is making her a grandma for the first time.  She is beyond excited!  I made this cute little card to go with the gift.  You can't see it but it has plenty of sparkle on it!  This is a digital stamp that I found here.  Lia has such nice images for us to color up.  There is also an adorable baby boy image that I plan to make up as well just to have on hand.

BEST BUDS

Whimsy Stamps came out with several new digital images on the 1st of September.  Last week I showed you a halloween girl but this week I have an adorable little guy and his puppy that Crissy Armstrong designed.  He can be found right here.  This one was a joy to color up.  I colored it with Copic markers and then went back and gave him some sparkly buttons with Stickles.  I used a scrap of paper for the background and added a chipboard lantern from Recollections.  This dog reminds me of our friend, Scott's dog, Buster.  He is such a funny guy but a great buddy to his dad.

Until next time, Happy trails to you...

Witchy Girl

How do the months fly by so fast?  Wasn't it just Memorial Day and now it is Labor Day and we are looking forward to Halloween and cooler temperatures.  And it is new digi release time at Whimsy Stamps!  I always get excited to see the new images that come out every month.  It is so hard to know which one to use first.  Since this little girl is titled Halloween Witchy Girl I thought I would give her a green tint on her face to witchy her up more!  I colored her up with my Copics  and even remembered to write them down.  I will post them at the bottom of the page. This little girl was designed by the talented Crissy Armstrong.  You owe it to yourself to check out her wonderful digi stamps.  And while you are there, check out the other designers as well.  You won't be disappointed!  I used papers from my stash and then I used the Memory Box die of the tombstones and the bats flying around her.  Well, I need to go and see what other images I need this month.  See you at the Whimsy store!

Colors used to color her are as follows:  V20, V25, E000, E00, E21, E40, E42, E44, E07, R59, R20, G000, Y28, Y17, YR68, YG13, W1, W3, W5, and W6.

Until next time, Happy trails to you!

Birthdays and More Birthdays

Today is a very special day!  It is our grandson's 13th birthday.  His first day as a teenager.  Just wanted to say a very happy birthday to our newest teenager, Justin!  Happy birthday Sweetie, we love you.

And tomorrow, marks another special day.  Our oldest twin grandchildren, Makala and Matthew are 24 years old.  If that doesn't make me old, nothing does.  Of course I had their mom when I was 10 and she had the twins at 13.  LOL  I could try to pass that off but the gray hair and wrinkles tell a very different story!  Anyway a very happy birthday to you as well!  I hope the year makes all of your dreams and wishes come true!  We love you both!

Until next time, Happy trails to you!

Lions, Tigers and Birthday Cows - OH MY!

Oh my gosh!  Look at this adorable birthday cow.  What?  You have never seen a birthday cow before?  Well, here is the cutest birthday cow ever!  It was designed by Crissy's Digis for Whimsy Stamps.  I colored him up with Copic markers and added dots to his bow using a Sharpie Marker.  Then I Frantaged it.  I am loving that stuff - you really need to try it if you haven't already.  I used Nestabilities to cut it out and there you have the rest of the story!

I sure do hope you are having nice weather wherever you are.  Oh my are we ever in a heat wave.  It has been so hot and humid I am tempted to make breakfast on the sidewalk!  There is no rain or cooling in sight.  I told Bill the other day, that it will be a relief to shovel snow!  Now that is a sign of a heat damaged brain!

Until next time... Happy trails to you!

Summer Living

Summer time and the living is easy...  This gal is on the beach today with sunshine and heat.  Bet she will be getting her tan on!  Isn't that what the kids are all saying now?  The image is a Whimsy digital image by Marika Collins and can be found here  I colored her with my Copics and gave her a pierced belly button to keep with the times.  Ouch is my thought!  I think I am glad I am old!  LOL  I added some sunglasses and put some rhinestones on them as well.  Finally I used some Frantage that I finally received in the mail.  It looks a bit like sand tossed around, doesn't it?  The background paper looks red on my computer but it is really a pinkish rose color.    I am having so much fun with this Whimsy release.  So many fun images to pick from it is hard to decide what to get first!  Check them all out right here on the Whimsy site.

Until next time, happy trails to you.....

Don't Pin the Tail On Me!

This little Donkey is from Whimsy Stamps and it is a digital image!  Oh how I love the digis!  I fought digis tooth and nail - either rubber or acrylic was the only way to go - I thought.  Well since I have been using digis I have been totally convinced that this is the way to go.  Look at all of the room you save in storage!  And the fact that you can resize and flip and do so much with them, they are hands down, the best choice.  Anyway, back to this card.   This cutie can be found here at Crissy's Digis.  I used a Papertrey Ink paper pack for the paper, A Nestability for the frame, and Memory Box dies for the fence and the leaves.  So tell me, are you a digi person or a rubber/acrylic person?

It sure doesn't seem like summer is either over or winding down quickly.  My grandson's started school yesterday already.  It will be fall and cool weather before we know it and all of those pesky leaves will need to be raked up.  The summers just get shorter and shorter, don't they?  What happened to the lazy, crazy, hazy days of summer?  Now everyday is filled with things to do and they fly by.  No lazy days for us but lots of crazy ones!

Until next time, Happy trails to you...

Raggedy

I am way late posting this card.  I  made it in June when our group met in Des Moines.  The pinwheel paper is by Echo Park and called Sweet Day. I don't remember who made the flowers but they are acrylic and I got them at Archivers.  The punch at the bottom is a Martha Stewart and the image is a Bestie and colored with my Copic markers.  I was pleased with how she turned out.

I am reading about all of the flooding in so many areas and yet here we can't squeeze a drop of rain out of the sky.  It has been so humid of late but the temperatures have been in the mid to high 80's so if you are just sitting, it is tolerable and even fairly nice!  Hope all is well where you live!

Until next time, happy trails to you....

Clean and Simple - Whimsy Style

We were challenged to  make a clean and simple card.  Well, this is my version of clean and simple.  It was just screaming for a bow so I gave in and put one on.  I used a Stampin Up embossing folder on the PTI black paper.  Then I added the beautiful verse by the talented Kathryne from StampArt Design by Kathryne.  I am not sure that this image is available at the moment but she assured me that it would be very shortly.  I used a Nestability to cut out the verse and then sponged around it while it was still in the die.  Added the ribbon and bow and called it good!  Now I am not sure if this is what was meant as clean and simple but I do like how it turned out.  What do you think?

Until next time, happy trails to you...

Sheri Danielson you are here!

I chose to work with Spunky the Mouse from StampArt Design.   I sized the main image and then used another image and resized him smaller and flipped him.  I love this about digital stamps,  There is no end to what you can do with them.  After I was happy with how they looked, I colored them with my Copic markers and the to get the mottled look on the mice, I went over it quickly with a blender pen.  Then again with W1 to tone it all down.  I also used a new to me Magnolia Viewmaster die and a Memory box border die.  I finished it off with 3 Twinkle Goosebumps.

Now is a great time to get those images for back to school so hop on over to see what all of the Design Team members have created for you today.  Remember, if you leave a comment,  you could win a prize!

Going for a Bike Ride

Looks like a beautiful day for a bike ride!  As a child I never had a bike.  My parents didn't feel it was safe so I didn't ride with the neighbor kids.  However every summer I would spend a week on the farm with cousins and there was a bike there.  I learned to ride and would spend hours and hours riding around the farm.  This sweet image from Lia Stampz is so fun to color up and makes a great card.  I used some flowers from Martha Stewart as well as her butterfly punch.  Also the doily is Hello Doily from Stampin Up!  and the bottom butterflies are craft tape from Recollections.  So dig out your bike, dust if off and go for a ride today and then go home and grab this cutie and color her up!

Until next time, happy trails to you...

Happy Birthday Aaron!

Today is our grandson's 9th birthday!  It is amazing how fast time flies by.  I found a card very very similar to this on online and I thought I had saved it to give credit but now I can't find it.  Anyway this was so fun to do and he liked it.  When he first started pulling it out of the envelope he stopped and looked at me and said "I already know it's a bunny.  I can tell by his ears".  He was surprised when he saw it was certainly no bunny!

Hummingbird and Flower

Oh gosh, look at this beautiful digital image by Dana's Digis.  It is part of the Whimsy July release and it is now available for only $3.00!  This was a dream to color with my Copics.  I then cut it out with a Spellbinder Nestability and glittered it up.  I used Stickles on the flower, on the hummingbird and also around the edges of the black cardstock.  Of course I had to add a bit of bling as well from my stash.

I have said I would tell you about the books I read and I always forget.  I just finished Lisa Scottoline's newest book titled Don't Go.  It was really good!  A great summer read and there is a lot of summer left.

Until next time... happy trails to you.....

FISH STORY

How many times have you known someone who says "the big one got away"?  Well, this little girl has her fish and a ruler so there will be no fish story from her.  Just the facts, ma'am, just the facts.  How could she not catch a fish though?  She has her bucket of worms beside her.    I colored her with Copics, cut her out with Nestabilities and then used paper from the Echo Park Beautiful Life series.  Love all of this series papers!  So bright and summery.

Happy Anniversary Michelle and Brian

Our daughter and her husband are celebrating their anniversary today.  This is the card I made for them.  I made the butterfly when I got home from Des Moines when we went with my Yahoo friends.  It is an acrylic stamp I have but have no idea who made it.  I have had it for years and I think this is the first time I ever used it.    I used white embossing powder on it and after it dried sponged the color on.  When I got home I used a sentiment from Papertrey and added some bling.  I love the way it turned out.

Happy Anniversary Kids!  We Love You both!

Until next time, happy trails to you...

Lizzie Goes to the Beach

Oh my goodness, look at all the sweetness this card contains.  I  may have to go to the dentist!  This sweetie is a new Whimsy design by StampArt Design by Kathryne.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Stains to color the white cardstock.  I made clouds with dies from Papertrey Ink and of course colored her with my Copic markers.  I had heard so much about Fran-tage and I had no idea what it was so I went on a search.  I found it and it is shaved ice!  Heck I had shaved ice 12 years ago!  But I have to admit this is pretty cool. Looks like the sand is sparkling in the sun.

It is heating up here in Nebraska and our lakes and pools will look like this very soon.  Time to crank up the air conditioning again.

Until next time, Happy trails to you...

A Night On The Town

It is July 1 and time for another Whimsy Digital Release.  How the time flies!  Our floppy hatted pig is ready for a night on the town!  I think she has a boyfriend and they are going out for a picnic.  Have fun little piggy!  Isn't she just too adorable?  Such a fun image from Crissy's Digis.  There are 120 images of cuteness on her page.  You need to be checking them out if you haven't already.  I promise you will have hours of smiles while you color.   Also check out the new fancy dancy scroll I put on the side.  Last Sunday my yahoo group met in Iowa for 3 days of eating, stamping, eating, laughing, and eating.  Did I mention eating?  I came home looking like this little piggy!  We met for lunch and then shopped where I found this scroll.  It is a Spellbinder die.  I like it a lot.  Next time I think I will cut out the flowers in a different color and pop them on top of the already cut flowers.   Back to my get together.  On Monday we went to Archivers from open till close and stamped and shared ideas all day and then Tuesday got back to Archivers and stamped until around 1:30 when we packed up and went to lunch and sadly parted for another year.  The ladies at Archivers could not have been greater!  Thanks AnnMarie, Vicki and Karin.  We had so much fun!

Until next time, happy trails to you!!!

Flora Fairy

Another very cool image from StampArt Design by Kathryne and can be found here.  And guess what!  When you buy the original image, you get three digitals for the price of one!!!  So for a dollar each, how can you go wrong?    I colored her with my Copics and then put tons of glitter on her wings.  I used a Tim Holtz Mover and Shaker die on the bottom after I grunged it up a bit with some Memento inks on the edges.  The butterfly is from Memory Box.  The bling is Twinkle Goosebumps and the paper is Year-O-Graphy Simple Stories.

Well summer is in full swing here in Nebraska.  Hot and humid.  But it sure beats winter cold, ice and snow!  I am awaiting a book from the library so have not started a new one but am catching up on my magazines.  Great time to sit and read to beat the heat!

Until next time, Happy trails to you...

Baby Teddy and the Butterfly

This cute little teddy bear has found a new friend.  He is a Whimsy digital image and can be found right here. If you buy him, you also get another image for free.  Quite a bonus!   I colored him with my Copics and then took the blender pen and made dots all over his body to make it look furrier.  It is hard to see in the picture though.  I used a Nestability to frame it and then two Memory Box dies to make a large butterfly for the corner.  I think it would make a great baby card, or birthday card or even a nice thinking of you card.

Until next time, happy trails to you....

FATHER'S DAY

I made this card for my husband for Father's Day.  I used a Whimsy digital image that you can find here called Charlie.  It also comes with two bonus sentiments that I didn't use for this card.  I colored it with m y Copic markers and added a word band by Tim Holtz.  That is it!  Easy Peasy!

Russian Nesting Dolls

Remember getting Russian Nesting Dolls or nesting boxes?  Well Natalie Seaton of Moon Cookie at Whimsy Designs made this adorable image.  After printing her out, I then stamped a wood look stamp from Papertrey Ink all over her to make it look like wood.   Then I colored over that with my Copics.  I thought she came out cute.  I used an embossing folder for the background and need to add my sentiment yet.  Pretty plain but wanted to show off this cute image.  Oh!  And I just noticed that she is half price so if interested grab her up quickly!  I Love a good sale :)

Until next time...
Happy trails to you!

A Walk With A Friend

Today I wanted to show an older digital image I have and love.  It is from Sarah Kay and I colored her with Copics.  I used a Nestabilitie to cut her out and then realized it was too large to fit on any card I had so I cut two more Nesties just like it and glued the first two together and then scored the back one about an inch and a half down and attached it at the top to make my own card.  Make sense?  I didn't add any embellishments to it at all and let the image shine.

Until next time, Happy trails to you...

Whimsy Challenge

So the Whimsy challenge this month was to do a shaped card.  I found this cute teacup here and thought it would make a cute invitation for a coffee or tea party.  I also used digital paper that I found here.  So I attached the tag to a pull up invitation which is inside the teacup.  Other than the normal circle shaped cards, this is the first real shaped card I have made.  It was fun to do.  I strongly suggest you try one just to say you did it!  I was dreading making one at first thinking I couldn't do one but while not as great as many I have seen, it made me know that I could do one and will try more in the future.

Until next time, happy trails to you!

Time to Garden

I just love this happy little gardener.  She is a Whimsy digital image and can be found right here.  I colored her with Copic markers and added a little white dots to her boots.  Looks like she is doing the happy dance because it is springtime.  The papers are scraps from left over projects.  The flower is from Memory Box and I think it is the chrysanthemum die.  I made it while I was puppy sitting for my friend Georgia.  I added a button to the top and popped it up with pop dots.  I hope you like this one.  She was sure fun to color up!

I know I talked about telling you of good books that I read and I forget to mention them.  I have read a couple of very good books lately.  I just finished Richard Paul Evans latest in The Walk Series.  It was called A Step of Faith and it was excellent!  Another one I read was Maeve Binchy last book before she passed away.  It was really good as well and titled A Week In Winter.  I have lots more on my list as well.  Stay tuned!

It doesn't seem possible that tomorrow is the last day of school.  That means in another week I will have been retired for one whole year.  WOW!  Where did that go?  The year just flew by and I can honestly say I was not bored for one minute!  I highly recommend it!

Until next time, happy trails to you!

Memorial Day

Just a quick post today to thank all of our servicemen past and present for protecting our great country.  This image is from Eat Cake Graphics and I think it says it all.  Love that these little kids are learning to respect our veterans as they should.  I hope you all have a good Holiday and enjoy the first days of warm weather - at least in Nebraska!

Until next time, Happy trails to you...

LULU

Isn't this little girl sweet?  I just love her.  She is a digi from Whimsy and can be found right here.  She comes with bonus grass that I forgot to use!  She also comes with 2 bonus sentiments one of which I used on my card.  The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch as is the grass.
Following are the Copic colors I used to color her with:
Skin:  E50, E21, R20, R30
Eyes: YG05
Hair:  E40, E42, E44
Shit:  Y02
Pants: R32
Flower:  R08, Y17 and E29 for the center
Stem: YG03, G97

See, not much shading - just plain coloring on this one.

Until next time, happy trails to you!

FULL BLOOM

Another Whimsy Digital image.  I have to tell you that I was not sure about this image before I started playing with it.  This image is called Full Bloom and can be found here.  I thought it looked like so many other flower images but I was so wrong.  You can color this like I did or make the flowers different colors. Also I found some colors that when used one on top of the other make the planter look like brass.  Can you see the yellows and greens in it?  I am very pleased with how it came out.  The butterflies own the side are a Memory Box die.  You can't see it but I sprayed it with Glitter Mist after it was done and it just sparkles in real life.

Until next time, Happy trails to you!

Ahoy Mate!

If we get much more rain we may need this boat!  Well, actually we need the rain but come on, all at once?  We need some sunshine!  And when we do get sun, we can sit outside and watch the grass grow!

On to the card.  Isn't this an adorable image from Whimsy?  It is a new May release digi from LiaStampz that you can find here.  I put Versamark all around the edges of the cardstock and then red embossing powder.  I like the look alot!  The stars are Memory Box die that I cut down in size.  And I put the Copic colors in a basket to show you what I used.  Hey!  I finally remembered to do that.  Wishing you sunny days on quiet seas!

Until next time,  happy trails to you!

OH LA LA!!

Time for a new Whimsy digital release and I chose this Glamour Girl that the super talented Marika Collins designed.  I love to create stories about people while I am coloring them and she is no exception.  I think she is looking for her handsome prince.  I wonder if he is at the party waiting with the glass slipper.  She is colored with my Copics and I forgot to save the colors.  Darn I need to get better at that.  I cut her out with my Nestabilities and used paper and ribbon from my scrap pile.  Be sure to check out all of the new digis.  There are some amazing images by lots of artists.  And you can resize them, flip them to suit your needs.  I am a firm believer in digital images - saves so much storage space!

Until next time, happy trails to you...

The Parents

Have you seen the commercial about the kids knowing their parents are at Disneyland but just know they are so bored because they are OLD and then they show the parents and they are having the time of their lives?  Well, this reminds me of them!  Isn't it funny?  The man whom I called Lester is all decked out in the brightest duds he could find.  His wife, whom I named Hilda is much more conservative.  But I bet once she takes off that swim cover up she can really make the party happen!  The adorable couple can be seen here.  While you are there, check out the other images.  Holly at Eat Cake Graphics has some really fun stamps.  You can let your imagination soar and create some great scenes with her stamps.   The embossing folder with the clouds is from Darcie.  The cork "sand" and the water sticker were both from friends.  Thanks Georgia and Nancy!  The paper is left over from my last card.

Until next time, happy trails to you!

GET OUT THE SHADES!

Bright enough?  I just had to combine these colors and the airplane was screaming for some bright colors.  This is way different for me but it was so fun to do!  I made a bucket list on the notepad.  The airplane is from Whimsy and can be found here.  It is called Toy Plane.  Such a fun card for a little boy or for child on your list who may be going to Disney World!    You could make it more for an adult by changing the colors.  Lia Stampz is the designer of this cute image as well as lots of adorable images.  I love that you can resize or flip the image to make it so personal for your needs.

Until next time,  Happy trails to you...

Technique Tuesday Flower

I bought this set of stamps from Technique Tuesday a while back and finally used it this week.  It was so fun to do.  I think the background fabric looking stamp is from Hero Arts but it is probably at least 12 years old.  I had fun making something different from my norm.

Until next time, happy trails to you!
