Moving Forward

Happy Sunday afternoon. Today I am moving forward to spring and Easter. I had fun making this Easter card. It is an old stamp but I love digging it out every year and making at least one card with it. This year I think I made three. I just can't get enough of this cute little guy with his paint brush. I colored him with my Copic markers and then cut the "eggstra" eggs out of PTI paper with the matching PTI ink and using Studio G $1.00 stamps. The rhinestones are Archivers brand. I cut out the image using my Nestabilities.

We are finally experiencing some nice weather - well nicer than it has been! Today was 35 degrees and sunny! I took our little dog Lucy to the puppy park and she ran like she had not been outside in months! She just doesn't get to play with other puppies very often in the winter. She had overload this week as she went to puppy play days on Wed. and Thurs. all day and then today was the highlight of her week outside at the park. She ran in huge circles around and around and around.

Until next time... happy trails to you

Birthday Card

I have been glued to the television this week watching the Olympics so card making had to be very simple. I needed some birthday cards so I made some quickies. Seems I have only worked and watched tv and slept all week. I do love watching the Olympics. We are expecting another 3 - 5 inches of snow tomorrow. I will be so happy to see spring this year! I am sure I have mentioned that before. It has been a tough tough winter here. Without further ado, here is the quickie birthday card. I used two Judith stamps and colored with my Copics. The background is a Cuttlebug folder.

Until next time, Happy trails to you...

Valentine's Day

The big day is almost here! I don't know about you but I feel it has gotten so very commercialized and that takes the fun out of it. I remember when I was in elementary school and would make all of my valentines and so proudly take them to school to distribute with my classmates. I guess I have come full circle - I am once again making my valentines and yes, I take them to school to distribute to some of my coworkers. This year though I sent a few to elderly friends rather than my coworkers. I ran out of time! I used a PaperTreyInk stamp set to create this card. I colored the mailboxes in with my Copics and then embossed them. The snow was made from a PTI template and then I chalked the drifts. The paper is Pure Poppy from PTI as well. I hope you enjoy the fun valentine.

Until next time, Happy Trails to you...

Snow snow snow

We are getting more snow! This winter is like the winters we had when I was a child but it has been many years since we have had a winter like this one. I hate to say it but we have gotten soft. I heard it said today that it feels like we are inside of a snowglobe and someone keeps shaking it. I think that is a very good description of the winter of 2010. That being said, the card I made is a snowman catching snowflakes on his tongue. It is an image from my friend Joanne. Isn't he cute? I paired it with some Paper Trey Ink paper that I adore and a thermometer that I bought several years ago and just found again. Of course I colored the image with my Copics.

Anyone excited for the Olympics to start? I so enjoy watching them. When we were in Vancouver Canada, they announced that the Olympics were coming there this year so it is even more exciting to see them finally get there. I remember thinking that 2010 was so far away that it may never get here. Well, don't blink because here it is! If you do watch the Olympics, what is your favorite sport to watch?

Until next time... Happy trails to you

Image Candy

My friend, Eulanda over at http://www.eulandasilvey.blogspot.com/ is doing a blog candy for some images she had. Well, don't many of us have images we are not using? I thought I could help her out so more people could have images. She had specific qualifications such as new to stamping, unable to purchase many stamps, and someone who does not use Copics as a lot or most of them are not Copic friendly. I went through my images and will help her send to those who need them. If I have any left over, I will do the same thing here. I am showing just a small amount of the images I have to give away.

Until next time... Happy trails to you!

Think Pink!!

Good morning to you all. Today is the start of the Pink Magnolia Blog Hop so in honor of that I made a Magnolia card to share. Now if I can just figure out how to add it to the hop... oh well, I have a week or two to do it! Anyway it is the 60's Magnolia and I colored her with Copics and then put Diamond Glaze over her sucker. For the bar stool I used a scrap of silver sparkle paper I had left over and I do mean a scrap. Glad I didn't toss that teeny tiny piece of paper! The juke box and records was from a very very old Personal Stamp Exchange set. They are foam stamps ladies! Remember them? I knew if I hung on to it long enough I would find a use for it. Anyway they are also colored with Copics and have Diamond Glaze on the top. Tilda and the juke box are popped up with pop dots. The background paper is from a Basic Grey Porcelain paper pad. I think she is adorable sitting there waiting for her friends to come by. When I took the picture of the card, I couldn't resist grabbing some of my old 45's and putting her amongst them. I know, it really dates me but I was a teenager in the 60's! Just brought back so many memories for me. I spent the rest of the afternoon looking through all of my old 45's. Anyone else old enough to have some? Don't even ask me how I knew where they were. Just luck I think!

After you have checked out my card, be sure to hop on over to Jacque's blog to see her amazing card, and then follow her to visit the other blogs. http://www.jacquesmagnolias.blogspot.com/

Until next time, Happy trails to you...

Finally Saturday

Oh my goodness. We had to work 5 whole days this week! That takes a lot of time out of my day! Really, it was nice to get back to a normal schedule. The snow has been melting but of course now it is dirty and sloppy outside. I don't like this part of winter. Our garage floors are all so messy you can't walk outside into them. There have been several roofs that have caved in due to the huge weight of all of the snow on them so hopefully that will cease. Yesterday morning we woke up to freezing fog. That is what all of the news people called it so I am going with it. It was so pretty. Instead of a card this morning, I think I will put up a picture of the freezing fog. I know I always complain about our winters, but when you wake up to something like this, it is all worthwhile. I took these pictures at the school where I work.

Until next time, happy trails to you
