I have a friend who is having a birthday tomorrow. I gave her this card and I really had fun making it. I used alcohol inks for the background and the lettering and a die for the frame and daisy. Of course since this is April I figured flowers would be perfect. However, it is snowing like crazy here in Nebraska this morning. We are going to have a white weekend as we are to get more on Sunday. Enough already!!!
Until next time, happy trails to you...

HAPPY EASTER
Happy Easter to you all! I hear we are expecting a white Easter. I know the high will be 38 degrees so that is certainly not too Easter-y. I used alcohol inks for the sun and for the eggs. Sponged the background and used a punch for the grass. That's about it for this one. The second card is the same but I added water drops to the sun. And instead of eggs I added a church.
I sure hope it is warm where you are and that you have a Blessed Easter. Our Savior has Risen! He Has Risen Indeed!!

Men's Birthday Card
I am a big fan of Michelle Zindorf's coloring and I watch her videos. So when she did this card, I knew I wanted to try my hand at it. Now I don't have the Gina K inks and some of the other supplies she uses but I had the stamp set so I used my Altenew inks and about the same colors. I really like how it came out and owe a huge thanks to Michelle. These colors are so soothing. The stamp set is one of the Wetlands sets from Gina K. I have a lot of her stamp sets and really do like them. So a friend is getting this card from me soon.

SPRING BUNNY
I found this little guy in my stash. I have not idea where it came from. I mean I remember coloring it a couple of years ago but can't find the stamp or the digi of it. Any ideas? Sure would like to color up more of them. The background is a stencil and I blended distress inks over it.
We have had spring weather this past week, but they say it is all going to change this week. And I was really getting used to it! Oh well, spring is fighting to come to stay for awhile.
Yesterday, my kids, grandkids and I went to the lake to see the snow geese. It was estimated that there were 800,000 geese there. The largest amount ever. It was a spectacular sight for sure.

Sympathy
Sadly I needed two new sympathy cards and made these today. The first one is a die cut and I got it from someone in DesMoines so can't remember the company. I used Distress Oxide Inks for the sunset and then the sentiment is from Penny Black. The second card I made using Technique Tuesday butterflies and colored them with Copic markers. I glittered around the edges and the sentiment is from Penny Black.
It has been icy here for a week! So ready for it to be over and it sound like this round will be a memory by Tuesday. Maybe we will have an early spring. I think I am going to get my red shoes on and click my heels and make a wish. I'd really like it if you all would make a wish with me. Been a long long winter.

Baby, It's Cold Outside
It has been a week of cold and snow. I really would love to see spring come. At least today the sun is shining. It makes it feel warmer than it actually is. I made this card from some darling images my friend, Bicka had when she was here. I can't remember the stamp set but isn't it cute? I used Lawn Fawn dp for the background and colored them with my Copics. Here's hoping it will warm up soon and the snow will melt away.

Be the Change
Well last time I blogged it was frigid. We had about 4 days of really nice weather and we walked every one of them. Last Wednesday it got up to 50 degrees! Then a front came in on Wednesday night and by morning we had ice. Then it started snowing. We were lucky that we only got maybe a half inch but it was so windy and cold! I stayed in all day!! Now we are back in the deep freeze once again. Someone please tell me we will get spring this year. I know it is way too early to think about spring but I do each time I open the door! I thank God daily for a warm house and food to eat. I am lucky indeed.

BRRRR
Does this scene look frigid? Well in Nebraska we were colder than the Antarctic this weekend! I have not been out of my house since Friday and really have no desire to go outside. I have been playing in my craft room, cleaning out closets and medicine cabinets, and reading. Anyway back to the card, I used some very old dp on this one and a new stamp and die set from MFT. I think it is just such a cute set. But I am really going to try to refrain from purchasing and use what I have. I only have so much room! It will be a challenge but I am hoping I can stick to it.
It has been so cold here that Lucy has a real hard time in the snow and her feet are so tender. So she wears her boots when she goes outside and is just fine. I never knew how useful they would really be!
Happy New Year everyone. I hope your 2018 is the best ever.
