Happy Birthday!!

When I saw these balloon dies from Paper Smooches I had to have them.  Aren't they fun???  I colored them with Copics and then colored the happy word with the same colors.  A fun card for anyone.

It has been just lovely here.  Our highs right now are what our lows should be.  Oh yes, still very cold.  In fact they are talking about a possible ice/sleet/snow for Tuesday and I had fun plans for that day!  In order to have fun, I need to get Lucy to the vet to have her teeth cleaned and then I was going to spend part of the day with Stephanye. I sure hope the weatherman is wrong!

Until next time, happy trails to you...

I am ready for Spring!

Ok this was such an easy card I am almost embarrassed to put it here but I liked it!  So, I used a piece of scrap for the aqua cardstock.  Then I die cut Memory Box's Dot Spot and popped it up with foam tape and added a flower.  The sentiment is from Avery Elle.  Easy peasy.

So we finally had a nice blue sky day yesterday with temperatures in the low 40's.  Really nice.  My friend, Stephanye and I went for a walk and I even got really warm!  Now today the skies are gray and they are saying rain changing to snow.  Only an inch here but this weekend, we are supposed to have more snow.  I know, we are so lucky we are not in Boston or anywhere that has gotten hit so hard this winter but still I want to open the door and feel 65 or 70 degree temperatures.

Until next time, Happy trails to you!

Brrrr it is Cold Outside

I am sure hoping this is my last frigid card for the year!  I love making them but don't like going outside!  I used a stencil and embossing paste for the snow falling.  I colored the snowman with my Copic markers, used dies for the snowdrifts and then die cut the words twice and off set them just a tad so it looks like the red is just behind the white color.  I really had fun making this one for a friend.  It was for a red and white swap card!

On a side note, I am having a bathroom remodeled and it has been a month since they started.  I am seeing the end coming now.  The tile and floor are in and it looks like a bathroom!  Can't wait to see the finished room.  I think they will immediately start on the second bathroom then.  By the time they are done, I may be ready for the funny farm!  I am anxious to have a friend come and stay with me and can't until I have a bathroom and bedroom for her.  The bedroom is holding all of the stuff from the bathroom.  My daughter saw the bedroom and said she was calling for help!  Looks like I am a hoarder!  Hard to cram 2 rooms into one.  Especially when I have a big linen closet to unload!  Soon very soon I will have one done.

Until next time, happy trails to you...

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Happy Valentines Day!  I am showing the last two valentines today.  These are for my grandsons who are 14 and 10.  Gosh they are at an age where it is hard to make cards for.  My friend, Georgia loaned me these stamps and one of them is from Technique Tuesday but I can't remember which one.  And the other one I can't even remember.  But they turned out good for their ages I think.
Hope your day is wonderful!

Until next time...
Happy trails to you!

More Love

A couple more valentines to share today.  The first one is a shaker card I sent to a friend.  I think she has it by now but I haven't heard yet.  Hope if she doesn't she gets it before she sees it here! I used some old paper in my stash, the jar from Papertrey Ink, sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, a doily from Michaels, and some twine from ???

The second card is a Memory Box die.  I pieced every little X and O onto the white cardstock after having stamped it 3 times.  That took forever!  Again sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and the hugs and kisses sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Until next time.. Happy trails to you.....

Valentines

I decided since it is the week of love to show a couple of Valentines I made for friends.  The weather was cloudy and I was not able to get pictures without shadows no matter how much I tried.  The first card I used embossing paste for the background and then a very old Stamping Up! stamp.  Of course there is a sprinkling of sequins on the front as well.  The second one is a Memory Box heart with the heart cut from glitter paper.  Of course more sequins.

We had a couple of big snows this past week but the weekend was in the 40's and 50's so lots of snow is gone.  I am ready for spring however they say it will be cold for the next couple of weeks.

Have a happy Valentines Day everyone.  Hold the one you love the most very close to you

Until next time, Happy trails to you...
