ok, so we were supposed to get some snow yesterday and we did. Huge big flakes that came fast and furious for about 2 hours and then the temperature warmed up and everything turned to slush. I did have to go out and scoop the slush so it would not freeze overnight but it was decent out. Last night it got very very windy and now most everything is dry. Oh there is still snow in the grass but that is just fine. We have not had enough snow this year to build a snowman but that is just fine with me. I feel so sorry for those who have had such a horrible winter. We had one like that about 4 years ago and it was just not in the least bit fun.
I made this card for my friend for a swap we had in my group. It was so fun to color and then I put a ton of sparkle on it. I hope you like it!
Until next time, happy trails to you...

Valentines
Happy Valentines Day! I sent many Valentines out but only took a couple of pictures of what I made. The first one is a Memory Box die that I cut out when Harriet was here. I really like that die, in fact I liked it so much I bought one! It can be used for so many different cards. The second card is the one that I am giving my Bill tomorrow. I really like how the paper peeks out from under the hearts. I think he will like it.
Whatever you do, wherever you are, I hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day. I found this on the web and wanted to share it with you. I thought it was fun:
Medieval folklore says that birds choose their mates on February 14, so it was a natural conclusion to choose the same date for our own celebration of love and fidelity.
As this folklore evolved, it came to dictate that the first bird an unmarried woman sees on Valentine’s Day would provide an omen as to her future husband’s character.
So, if you wake up on Valentine’s Day and want to stack the deck in your favor, just make sure you find the correct bird from the listed below in order to “guarantee” the partner of your dreams:
• If you want a wealthy partner then see a goldfinch first.
• Seeing a swan first foretells finding a loyal and lifelong partner.
• A bird of prey means living with a politician or leader.
• Your partner will always return home if you see a pigeon.
• A blackbird signals a clergy member in your future.
• See a sparrow and a life on the farm is headed your way.
• Want to travel with your partner? See a gull first!
• A bluebird means a fun and happy partner will come your way.
• Not in to commitment? Then a woodpecker or crow means a relationship or marriage will have to wait another year.
Whatever bird you see first, it is sure to foretell that you are a person that loves nature and that birds will be a part of your future for years to come and that is always a good omen!
Until next time, happy trails to you...

Love
So you came expecting a Valentine, right? Well not quite yet. They are complete but this one was chosen because it is so cold here and snowy. I needed to bring some spring to my blog. The stamp set is from Papertrey Ink and was an anniversary set. The butterflies are rub ons and the Love is a die cut. So really a very easy card. I think most everyone is ready for flowers and warm sun. So these flowers are for you!
Until next time, Happy trails to you...

Online Card Class - Stenciling part 2
So like I said in my last post, I took the Online Card Class. These are two more of the cards I have had a chance to make using what I have learned. I would have made more but ran out of hours in the day. I have ideas though and some started but not completed. I am loving using these inexpensive stencils to make such nice cards. I wish you could see the sparkle on the sunrays. Such a happy card. If you have never taken one of these classes, I would certainly suggest you do so. It really stretches you and teaches you to look at some of the things you already have in a new way.
Until next time, happy trails to you!
