YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE

Can you believe January is almost over already?  That works for me - means it is closer to spring!  I am not a fan of cold and snow.  It has been a fairly mild winter so far but we still have a couple of months to go.

When I was a little girl, my mother taught me this song and she said I sang it all of the time.  Of course I had to buy this stamp from Lili of the Valley.  I colored it up with my Copics and added some lace and flowers and there you have it.

I just started another book called The Long Way Home by Karen McQuestion.  If you are a reader it looks very promising.  What is on your bedside table right now?

Until next time, happy trails to you!

AMY

This is a sweet Whimsy stamp.  Isn't she adorable?  She just came to life as I colored her.  I found her at 7Kidscollegefund.  Of course she was colored with my Copics and cut with a Nestie.  I mounted her on a piece of red cardstock and both the red and white cardstock are from Papertrey Ink.

It is sure cold here.  I have a cold so perhaps that is part of why I feel so chilly.  However we were much colder here than they were in Anchorage Alaska today.  I am so ready for spring.  I keep telling myself that we don't have to shovel cold so I will not complain.  But then I forget and complain :)  Today I laid on the couch and read my book most of the day.  I am reading a book called The You I Never Knew by Susan Wiggs.  I am enjoying it alot.

Until next time, happy trails to you....

Beachy and Some News!

Beach house colors
Yup, I know it is January but I just had to play with my Eat Cake Graphics Beach Houses and Beach lady.  There is a special reason I was called to play with this set which you will read further down.  Anyway it was sure fun to make a summer card in January.  First I colored the beach houses and then cut them apart.  I ended up only using three of the five of them.  I then colored my sweet lady with her ice cream and the sign.  Then I used my Memento inks to make hills for the houses, added some sand and water and voila there you have a summer card!  The colors I used on the lady were E00, E01, E11, E40, R20, B12, B14, B16, BV23 and BV25.  Sorry, I meant to take a picture of them as well and forgot.

Ok, are you ready for my news?  I have been asked to be part of the Design Team of Eat Cake Graphics.  I am so excited to play with these fun images!  Holly is most gracious and I am looking forward to my time spent with her and my teamies.   Here is the official announcement:  http://www.eatcakegraphics.com/samples/ http://www.eatcakegraphics.com/samples/

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time, Happy trails to you...
