Valentine's Day Already??

Alright it may be a tad bit early for Valentine's Day cards but I am home for 2 weeks so what better time to start on them? This is the first one I made so far. I used Bazzill paper Guava Sensation and Cherry Splash for the papers. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and I have had it forever. I used PaperTrey Ink's Fancy Flourishes and embossed the hearts with silver embossing powder. I used the Nesties for the Valentine Wishes cutout and the squares and scallops. Then pulled out my Cuttlebug embossing folder "hearts" for the background.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that travel was not difficult. Goodness it sounds like everywhere except the midwest was hit with either rain or snow. And lots of it! They are talking about a winter storm coming our way way tomorrow night. I don't think it will amount to much but I am still ready for spring!

Happy New Year to everyone! Blessing and good health to all in 2011!

Until next time, Happy trails to you.....

Merry Christmas

I am a day late in posting this week. I usually try to post every Saturday but yesterday was my birthday and we ran all day long. First to do our Saturday errands and then last night we all went to dinner and then to look at Christmas lights. It was such a nice evening and we saw some amazing light displays.

This is my last Christmas card for the year. It is another Penny Black sticker card with glitter on the holly berries and an embossed background. The green ribbon on the right looks black but it isn't, trust me :) I could not get it to come out green for the life of me.

I am off for two whole weeks now. I am so excited! And the school year is officially half over. The last day of the semester was Friday. Boy has the year gone fast!

If I don't get a chance to jump back on here I want to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas. Please know that I appreciate each and every one of you. I really do appreciate the comments and the emails you send. Keep it up and bring your friends!!!
Until next time... Happy trails to you.....

Christmas Time

I can't even believe that two weeks from now it will be all over. Are you finished shopping yet? I have one more gift to buy. This is my Christmas card for this year. I used PaperTrey Ink stamps Merry and Bright and the sentiment is from Merry and Bright Additions. This card was published in a magazine called Through the Classroom Door a publication by Suzanne Dean, http://www.craftdoormagazine.com/

We had blizzard conditions here yesterday. The warmest it got was a wind chill of 23 degrees below zero. We got very little snow though so that was good. Brrr and our little Lucy refused to go out so I had to walk her. Thank goodness for my new coat. I was toasty the whole time!

Until next time... Happy Trails to you!

Snowman Time

Boy, it seems like just yesterday we were starting a new school year and now Christmas is upon us. I think I need to start shopping! I have a few things but am far from finished. I need to organize and figure out what I need. I think most of it is gift certificates so that will be easy. Our school winter program is next week and as if the kids weren't crazy enough right now this may just send them over the edge. We have two more weeks before break and each day gets crazier!

My card today is a stamp off I got last summer and I believe it is a Magnolia stamp but I am just not sure. I used my Copics to color and then paper from my stash. Frosty's hat uses Fun Flocking for the ball on the hat and I sprinkled glitter over the snow on the ground and also on the lantern.

Thank you Eulanda for changing my blog header and making it look so Christmas-y. I LOVE it!

Until next time, Happy Trails to You....
